Frecuently asked questions

What happens when we arrive in Spain for an inspection trip?

After you have booked an inspection trip, one of our representatives in Spain will contact you directly and answer any questions you have prior to your visit. Once you arrive you will be met at the airport and taken to your accommodation and continue to be looked after by one of our sales staff for the duration of the trip. Days are normally quite full as they include viewing not only property but also the local area and any particular points of interest you may have.

What if we prefer to come out independently?

This gives you more of a relaxing chance to see the area, the time you spend with us is up to you and depending on your situation we will introduce you to the area or focus solely on seeing houses. Typically you would spend a whole or half day with one of our representatives and in if you do find your dream house you are guaranteed to receive the very same professional support as if you had come on an inspection trip.

What happens if I change my mind on the type of house I want while I am there?

It is not a problem to change your mind on the type of property you wish to purchase. Our service is completely personalised, on a one to one basis with your sales agent. We will endeavour to find the house you are looking for.

What is the buying procedure once we have found a property?

When buying a new property the constructor asks for an immediate deposit of 2000 pounds on signing of the purchase contract, after which a payment of 50% will normally be expected within a months time, the remainder being paid on completion or in stage payments, according to the constructor.

All our sales are supervised by a independent Spanish lawyer, who checks the purchase contract, ensures that the property is freehold, the project built to planning standards and answers any legal questions you may have before signing.

We also take you to open a bank account which you will need for completion and help and advise with further information for example purchase of furniture or any extras for your chosen property.

After we have signed up to buy a property and paid the deposit what service can we expect from Dream Makers 2002 ?

Our service does not end when you return to the UK. We are here to help and support you through the whole process and answer ongoing questions and concerns. We will monitor the construction of the property at regular intervals and even send you photos of the progress.

What is a community?

Many of the houses are built in communities giving you access to a shared swimming pool and garden area. As part of the community each owner pays a proportionate share of the cost of maintaining this area.  A committee is elected to manage the mutual concerns and needs of the whole community.
